Description
Shawn travels to New York City to work with a dating and relationships coach as well as a wing woman. He hopes to come back a changed man full of confidence and less socially awkward. His goal is to get a girlfriend and this was the first step along the way. When Shawn got to New York City Amber and Jean could tell that he did not have much confidence so they decided to help him build confidence. Jean asks some deep questions to get into Shawn's past to try and determine how to best help him overcome his issues with a lack of confidence. Shawn opens up and becomes vulnerable with Jean about his past growing up where the other kids at school always bullied him and said that he was a loser because he appeared to be different than they were. Shawn shared how that has haunted him for years. Jean and Amber wanted to work with Shawn on forgetting the past and moving into the future with a more positive image of himself. Would the weekend in New York City do the trick and help Shawn with his confidence or would he come back to Fort Wayne, Indiana with the same level of confidence as he left with? After they worked on confidence for a while Shawn was told that Amber was going to be his wing woman when they went out on Friday and Saturday nights. Shawn had never had a wing woman before, he did have a wing man at one point and time but that was years ago and he was very excited about going out with Jean and Amber because Amber was beautiful and seemed like a nice caring woman to have helping him out. Read the book to find out how Friday night out in New York City goes for Shawn, Jean, and Amber. Would Shawn be confident enough to approach women with Amber's help or would he be too scared and seclude himself into social isolation again. Read book II of "A Socially Awkward Guy" to find out. Here is an excerpt from the book."Shawn learned a lot from Amber and Jean that first night out. They danced with several women and even got their picture taken with a bunch of women. They had a great time and made many new friends that evening. He could not have been happier and to top it off he got three women's phone numbers just on that first Friday night out with Jean and Amber. At the end of the night Shawn, Jean, and Amber sat around coffee and chatted about their day. They got some sandwiches at 2 in the morning at a local cafe and reanalyzed everything that they had done that day. Shawn felt really good about the day and Jean and Amber did as well. They told him that he did a great job and came a long ways socially just within the few hours that they had been hanging out together. They were proud of him and they were excited to go out again on Saturday night with him to wrap up his weekend trip. --Provided by publisher.
