Description
When a shipwreck leaves a young boy, Alec (Kelly Reno), and “The Black,” a wild Arabian stallion, stranded on a desolate island, the two share an adventure of survival which forges a lasting friendship. Upon their rescue, Alec and his new friend return home and continue their adventures when they join forces with ex-jockey and horse trainer, Henry Dailey (Mickey Rooney), who takes them under his wing and prepares them to compete with the world’s best thoroughbreds in “the race of the century.”
