Notes

Description
"It was an arduous upbringing on a family farm in an isolated area of Northwestern Ontario, Canada. As was tradition, father hoped his eldest son would in time take over the operation. However fourth generation rancher/farmer Willard J. Stronmg imagined a different future for himself. At the age of seventeen he woke up one morning, declined his inheritance, and waved goodbye to everything and everyone he knew. Eager to explore beyond the farm fields and surrounding forest, Willard walked away with nothing more than the clothes he wore and twenty dollars in his pocket. Toronto's city lights, opportunities, hazards, and hunger awaited his arrival. What came next was a succession of experiences, including World War II in the Royal Canadian Air Force, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, which encouraged Willard to blaze a trail into the Aerospace Industry. In the years to come, the man raised as a country boy would craft more than childhood slingshots, catapults, and bows and arrows. As a Research and Development Engineer, Willard designed and developed FLIRS, Weapon Systems, Guided Missles, Space Systems, and top secret equipment. That's not to say Willard never horsed around. He did, at tracks, as an Owner/Breeder of Thoroughbred race horses."--Cover.
