Description
Dame Christie's most popular character, prim and proper Miss Jane Marple, is adored worldwide by mystery fans for her razor-sharp mind, intuitive understanding of criminal behavior, and trademark knitting needles. Body in the library: The body of a glamorous blonde is found in the library at Gossington Hall and Dolly Bantry needs to clear her husband's name - so she calls her dear friend, Jane Marple. A murder is announced: When an intriguing ad in the Chipping Cleghorn paper invites the villagers to witness a murder one evening at Miss Blacklock's home, everyone turns out in force expecting a new kind of party game. A pocketful of rye: The body of Rex Fortescue, the patriarch of a loathsome family of financiers, is discovered with a handful of rye in his pocket. Soon afterward, his young wife, Adele, dies following a light tea with bread and honey.
